Broken Microwave Door Handle

Carefully pry open the panel that frames the window.

Removing trim to access screws to remove handle. Gently pull the handle off the microwave. Slide a screwdriver in the seam between the edge of the door and the panel that frames the window. This technique works for most brands and styles.

Unscrew the old handle with a phillips screwdriver or a nutdriver depending on whether it is held by screws or by nuts tightened onto threaded posts. Use the knife s edge to remove the choke tabs from the slots on the microwave door frame.
